There's more than a month remaining before the 2013
NBA Draft, but mocking season officially hit high gear Tuesday night with the
draft lottery. Analysts across the country rolled out their latest editions
with the official order in place, leaving fans to begin dreaming of their next
Gut feeling may determine these predictions as much as
legitimate reporting from sources around the league, but the next few weeks
will move quickly so it's not bad to start studying up now. And in a draft that
lacks consensus opinions, expect a whole lot of movement before David Stern
hits that podium on June 27.
For now, Kentucky big man Nerlens Noel is
the presumptive No. 1 overall pick for the Cleveland
Cavaliers, but even that scenario could change. If teams don't
like what they see from his injured knee, someone like Kansas' Ben McLemore or
Georgetown's Otto Porter could
be the pick.
